One Children's Way

Just over one year ago our little family loaded up the car to make the drive from Northwest Arkansas down to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.  Isla hadn't fully gained control of her eyes and so our pediatrician recommended we have an MRI done to rule out tumors or nerve issues.  The results showed neither.  What they did find is that she has delayed myelination and a thin corpus callosum.  I don't have the capacity to go into what that means, you can google those terms if you like.  This diagnosis prompted out ongoing evaluation by Dr. Jain, a Pediatric Neurologist at the St. Louis Children's Hospital.  Just know Isla is doing great.  She acts and plays the same as you would expect of normal toddler but we visit the neurologist twice a year to assess her development.

Below are a few images from our visit to ACH.
